“Partnering with Ecopilot for the pilot project at Chatelech Secondary School has been an incredibly smooth and rewarding experience for the Sunshine Coast School Board. From the very beginning, the installation process was completely seamless and hands-off for our team, integrating beautifully with our existing systems without a single hiccup. What has been most impressive, however, is that we’ve achieved substantial energy and cost reductions—specifically slashing our heat energy consumption by 711.7 GJ (197.7 MWh) and saving $7,993.12—all while maintaining a high level of student and staff thermal comfort. Ecopilot's intelligent optimization operates quietly in the background, proving that we don’t have to compromise on a warm, inviting learning environment to hit our sustainability goals. It’s rare to find a solution that delivers exactly what it promises so effortlessly, and we are thrilled with the real, measurable impact this project has made for our school." At Chatelech Secondary School, EcoPilot was integrated in collaboration with Delta Controls and our onsite contractor Ainsworth. The goal was to enhance HVAC performance and support long-term sustainability targets. Working with the existing Delta Controls building automation system, our AI-powered platform was deployed without disruption, enabling real-time, predictive HVAC optimization to reduce energy waste while maintaining comfort.
In its 2024 PSO Climate Change Accountability Report, the Sunshine Coast School District (SD46) outlined the actions it took to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance net-zero goals including adding iBOS® to Chatelech Secondary’s building management system (BMS). SD46 also confirmed plans to continue working with EcoPilot in 2025 and beyond to help reduce fuel and electrical consumption at Chatelech Secondary as part of its ongoing emissions-reduction strategy.
