Dean Shea, President and CEO of The Shea Group, which includes Castone Construction, VEP Mechanical and EcoPilot Canada | USA, has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs for 2020 by Atlantic Business Magazine. Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO Awards is Atlantic Canada’s premiere business event.  Candidates are judged by their corporate, community and industry involvement: company growth and responses to various managerial challenges.

Shea, age 38, has launched eight diverse companies and exponential growth in revenue prompted expansion into the United States.  His commitment to impeccable quality and honest relationships resonates in The Shea Group, as well as the 100 Nova Scotians he employs, and who he admits, play an integral role in his success.   “Employees are critical to our achievements.  I want our work environment to attract top talent, be safe, promote family, and be the best place to work.”  In 2019, Dean contributed more than $17,000 to local charities and just recently, donated $10,000 to Make a Wish Canada, which will support the wish of a little girl facing a life-threatening medical condition.  “It’s important to give back to the community that has been so good to us.  I’m pleased to be able to support these various initiatives that contribute to the social fabric of Atlantic Canada.
